Green Peas and Bacon Steamed Rice Seasoned with Soy Sauce
Green peas are one of the main ingredients in this soy sauce flavored steamed rice. The secret is to infuse the aroma of soy sauce while stir-frying, and to mix steamed rice in a frying pan with the heat turned off.
PREPARATION
- Remove green peas from pods, and mince onion. Remove hull and seeds from green pepper. Cut the green pepper and bacon into 1cm dice. Finely chop garlic.
- Put vegetable oil, garlic, and onion in a frying pan, and stir-fry. Once the onion is half cooked, add the bacon and green peas.
- Once the vegetables are cooked, add the green pepper and “sake” (rice cooking wine) to steam-fry. Pour "REGULAR SOY SAUCE" and stir-fry. Turn down the heat and combine with steamed rice. Season with salt and pepper.
