Sweet Potato Moon

This is a perfect dish for "Otsukimi" (moon festival). Mash and sweeten the sweet potato "moons", and infuse aroma by coating them with slightly burned "REGULAR SOY SAUCE". Kids will love the small, round "moons" made from a sweet potato!

Ingredients
1 tablespoon Butter
3 tablespoons Sugar
a pinch Salt
2 tablespoons Milk
4 tablespoons Flour
1 teaspoon REGULAR SOY SAUCE

PREPARATION

  1. Peel and chop the sweet potato in rounds, place on a heat-resistance dish, sprinkle water, and cover lightly with plastic wrap. Microwave (500w) for 3.5 minutes.
  2. Using a fork, mash STEP1 while hot , and combine with butter, sugar, and salt. Add flour (2 tablespoons) and mix. Pour milk and knead for smooth texture.
  3. Add the remaining flour (2 tablespoons). Once combined, make 10 disks (cover your hands with flour if the disks stick). Heat oil in a frying pan, and cook the disks.
  4. Flip the disks over once the surface becomes golden. Pour "REGULAR SOY SAUCE" from the rim of the pan, and coat the potato “moons”, partially burning the soy sauce.
