Simmered Squid and Potato

Squid is low in fat and calories, but high in protein. This wholesome food can be purchased in cheap price, which is another benefit to use squids.

Ingredients
200g (1 medium size) Squid
200g (2 small pcs) Potatoes
30g Carrot
30g (6 pcs) Green beans
a pinch Salt
400ml Water
100ml *5 fold dilution [KOMBU TSUYU 1 : Water 4] KOMBU TSUYU

PREPARATION

  1. Pull out squid's legs, remove intestines, and clean the legs and body with water. Cut the body into 1cm rounds, and chop the legs into easy-to-eat size.
  2. Peel and cut potatoes into proper size.
  3. Combine water (400ml) and "KOMBU TSUYU" (100ml) in a pot, and simmer STEP2.
  4. Once STEP3 becomes tender, add STEP1 and cook for 3 minutes, and cool the pot so that the squid soaks the soup.
  5. Peel and cut carrot in rectangles, and chop green beans in half. Boil them in salted water.
  6. Dish up STEP4 and STEP5 as a side.
