Soy Sauce, Cheese, and Salmon "Temarizushi"

This small and round "temarizushi" (ball sushi) is a perfect dish for Girl's Festival celebrated in Japan on March 3rd. Steamed rice seasoned with soy sauce and dried bonito flakes adds aroma to the sushi. You can also use tuna, shrimps, or salmon roe in place of salmon. This gorgeous finger food is perfect as a party dish.

Ingredients
350g (8 sushi balls) Steamed rice
As needed (2 thin slices for each sushi) Smoked salmon
1 1/2 tablespoons REGULAR SOY SAUCE
1 package (3g) Dried bonito flakes
as you like Green onion

PREPARATION

  1. Dice processed cheese. Combine "REGULAR SOY SAUCE" to steamed rice, and mix well. Lightly combine with dried bonito flakes and processed cheese.
  2. Make small rice balls using plastic wrap. On separate plastic wrap, place salmon slice(s) with a rice ball on top. Wrap and twist the end of the plastic to make ball-shaped "temarizushi".
  3. Sprinkle green onion as you like and serve.
